At first glance, Among You looks very similar to the classic Among Us: same top-down view, familiar movement, and tasks scattered around the map.
But the atmosphere changes quickly.
Instead of arguing with other players, you're alone in dim corridors collecting clues while a masked impostor moves through the ventilation system. The uncertainty of the hunter's arrival time and direction creates tension.
One particularly memorable scene from the game is when you're calmly gathering evidence, and you hear movement close to a vent. If you're slow to react, the killer locks onto you, and the chase begins.
The game turns what used to be a social game into something closer to a survival mystery.
One limitation, though: because it's single-player, the deduction element isn't as deep as the multiplayer original. The suspense comes more from avoidance and investigation rather than psychological bluffing.
Your objective is simple: collect enough evidence to identify the impostor before they kill you.
While exploring the map, you’ll find:

Once you think you know who the impostor is, go to the Meeting Station and make your accusation.
Two outcomes:
Correct guess → you eject the killer and win
Wrong guess → you get ejected instead
So guessing early is risky.

The impostor frequently appears there. Treat vents like danger zones.
2. Keep moving
Standing still while examining clues is risky. Grab evidence and relocate.
3. Obstruct the line of sight
Weaving around obstacles during a chase frequently makes the killer lose sight of you.
4. Pay close attention
Before you see the murderer, you may be able to detect their presence through subtle auditory cues.
One unexpected insight: sometimes running toward brighter areas of the map helps, since the killer tends to appear more often in darker corridors.
